I write these poems
on electronic walls
to be eventually
scrolled backwards
erased and forgotten

I found a notebook
of my mother's poetry
old, yellowed and aged
and I saw things I'd written yesterday
and I'd see them done before
forgotten bits of this
forgotten bits of that
it ended abruptly and I wondered why

I would stumble across
things I had written
things I had enjoyed writing
and things I had despised
but it's still the same
the words are lost and gone
and the words will come again
